Editor’s Note: Each writer submitted a list of her Top 10 Anything. These lists will be published over the next few days as we usher in the New Year. We hope 2016 is the year that shakes your snow globe – in the best way possible.

1. Sriracha Roasted Brussel Sprouts – Because sriracha.

2. Chili Ginger Glazed Salmon – But in case you don’t already have a Shape.com account (and who doesn’t?!), I cheated and snagged a screengrab of it for you below.

3. Butternut Squash Soup – Meal in a bowl. Thai Curry version is stellar, but all are equally edible.

4. Best Chocolate Cake – No need to make 3 layers. A 9 x 13 pan will do just fine. Moist, lightly sweet, chocolate-y without being overly decadent. Warning: Make for special occasions only; otherwise, you might end up eating the whole cake yourself. Not that I would know anything about that.

5. Mexican Wedding Cakes (aka Polvorones aka Italian Wedding Cookies aka Russian Tea Cakes aka Butterballs aka Snowballs ) – Melt in your mouth buttery cookie goodness whatever the name or country of origin. A favorite at Christmas parties.

6. Tandoori Meatloaf – Although I usually only make this with beef and whatever hot pepper I can get my hands on in Shanghai, this is still delish. And paleo, for anyone who’s still on that bandwagon.

7. Best Banana Bread – Being Gluten-Free is just an added bonus. I make double batches adding dried cranberries and chocolate chips and pour the batter into single serving silicone cupcake molds. A slightly less guilty sweet snack option.

8. Sambal Chicken Skewers – Skip the skewers and the grill (unless you have one) and go straight for oven-roasted chicken wings. Makes for the best wing sauce.

9. Nacho ‘Tator’ Tots – Okay, so they aren’t really potatoes, but it doesn’t matter. There will be -0- left when you are finished making these cauliflower paleo-poppers. They taste just like their namesake – somehow. Because magic. Evil magic.

10. Dutch Baby (aka Fluffy Fancy Pancake) – I will never stop talking up the glorious-ness of the Dutch Baby. It is not-quite-crepe-not-quite-pancake heaven. And it’s a one bowl, one pan, leave-it-for-20-minutes-and-breakfast-is-ready kind of dish.
